Summary: Gwen and Ianto's life-raft has a small problem. A double drabble.
'Well, that's another Torchwood asset written off the books,' Ianto said, observing the last remnants of their vessel - The Sea Queen IV - lighting up the dreary afternoon sky with their flaming bits of flotsam whilst the rest sank slowly to the bottom of the Bristol Channel.
'Jack's going to be pissed,' Gwen replied, using their single oar to push some burning detritus away from their flimsy lifeboat.
'More than likely,' Ianto agreed. 'On the plus side, we're both still alive. That has to count for something. Rescue beacon is working so someone should be along in the next twelve hours to pick us up.'
Gwen nodded and then slumped back against the side of the boat, feeling it far more squishy than it probably should be. She turned around and located a large tear in the side. 'Uh oh. We've got a leak. What do we do?'
Ianto fished around inside a small waterproof bag of bits. 'Pump in air quicker than it's leaking out?' He handed her the emergency pump.
She frowned at the inadequate device. 'A bicycle pump? That's what's going to keep us from treading water for hours?'
He shrugged. 'It's that or we just start blowing.'
