Rhiannon was staring at him across the small table, eyes fixated on his latest addition, a gold engagement ring, She'd taken the news as if it weren't even a surprise. He didn't know why. It had certainly come as a surprise to him.
'Have you set a date?'
'A date?' Ianto nearly choked on the words, just barely managing not to spit out his tea. 'I've just told you we're engaged.'
'Exactly. You can't just stay engaged now forever, can you?'
Forever? It had been five whole bloody minutes! Fabulous, glorious minutes that made him go tingly all over just thinking about it, but still… What was the rush?
'It's not like we're planning a really long engagement.' Truthfully, they hadn't planned anything, but Jack wouldn't have proposed to him if he hadn't been serious about going through with the whole thing, adding vows to the ring already sitting on his finger, a promise of what was yet to come.
'Well, you're going to have to set some kind of date. We need to pencil it in our diaries. Make sure we're free.'
Ianto scoffed, unable to resist the opportunity to tease his sister. 'Who said I was inviting you?'
