Summary: An unscheduled break from work is about to land them in trouble. A double drabble.
Gwen cringed as she felt the SUV lurch to an unexpected halt, and heard the slight crunching sound that went with it. She didn't have to look at the reversing camera to know they'd backed into something. No doubt the trolley bay that had been right behind them when she'd very clearly said to Jack that the parking spots close to the supermarket were way too tight for a car their size.
'It's okay,' Jack said. The SUV is built like a tank. He chuckled. 'That trolley bay won't have been, though. SUV one, trolley bay nil.'
'Maybe we should take a look,' Gwen suggested.
'It's a public carpark. People reverse back into trolley bays all the time. I don't think they expect us to go to the customer service counter to exchange insurance details. Besides, we've got places to be.'
After buying up half their lolly aisle on one of Jack's sugar craving whims, Gwen agreed they should get back to work.
Ianto was coming out of the carpark door when they arrived. 'Where the hell did those scratches come from?' Gwen didn't need the reversing camera to know he was mad.
'Tell him we were rammed,' Jack pleaded.
