Summary: Owen is sceptical of Ianto's methods. A double drabble.
'It'll never work,' Owen said, referring to Ianto's explanation of what he was going to propose to Jack. 'You really think all that reverse psychology shtick would actually work on him? The bloke is a former conman. He said so himself. He's not going to let an amateur like you pull the wool over his eyes.'
Ianto didn't look put out by Owen's lack of faith. 'I know perfectly well that reverse psychology won't work on him. That's why I'm employing reverse reverse psychology. He won't be expecting that.'
Owen snorted. 'Reverse reverse psychology? Is that even a thing?'
'As I doctor I thought you'd know all about it. Besides, that's just the technical name for it. All you really have to do is the one thing Jack expects, because that's the last thing he'll expect.'
'That makes no sense.'
Ianto smirked. 'That's why I always get what I want and you don't,' he said smugly, picking up his clipboard and wandering off with a satisfied grin.
'Don't think that's why,' Owen mumbled to himself. More likely it was because Ianto had a one way ticket to his pants, and Jack had the libido of a Blackpool penny arcade machine.
