Summary: Jack should be used to unusual comings and goings by now. A double drabble.
Jack poked his head around his office door and paused a moment before speaking, waiting as Tosh walked from her desk to the spiral staircase and then up to the hothouse. Weird, he thought, watching her before Ianto just happened to come towards him, looking like he was about to dump a whole new pile of reports on him.
‘Hey, call me crazy but does Tosh have a new boyfriend or something that I don't know about?’ he asked. If anyone knew, it’d be Ianto.
Ianto’s brow furrowed. ‘What makes you say that, sir?’
‘She just seems to have more of a spring in her step, that’s all.’ She’d looked perfectly jaunty just now. Maybe Owen had finally woken up and asked her out on a date.
‘Not a spring, sir. A lack of gravity.’
‘Huh?’
‘That anti-gravity gel we found last week. Tosh is experimenting on its applications. Owen suggested it as more of a joke than anything, but in very small quantities it does seem to give one a bit of a boost.’
Jack frowned at the unusual application. ‘Just so long as I dont catch you testing larger quantities thinking you’re going to scrub the hub roof.’
