Title: Keeping watch

Summary: Jack needs to be watched at all times so he can't hurt himself. A double drabble.
Jack felt Owen’s eyes on him as he tried to force the wheelchair around the hub. The place really wasn’t designed for anyone without the use of their legs to get around. It wasn’t just annoying, it was downright maddening.
‘I’ve got my eye on you, Harkness,’ Owen warned, confirming Jack’s suspicions. ‘Don’t even think about getting out of that chair without my say so.’
‘As if I could!’ Jack retorted, trying and failing to get the chair to make a hairpin turn. One leg was missing half its muscle, whilst the other had only a few sinews keeping his foot attached. He couldn’t have stood up if he’d tried. Not without falling into an ungraceful heap, and he wasn’t going to be doing that anytime soon. Being wheelchair bound was wound enough to his pride, but being in a tangled mess on the floor would have been even more denigrating.
‘I’ve got both eyes on him, Owen,’ Ianto replied, taking the handles of the chair and guiding it around in the desired direction, then carrying on pushing.
Owen snorted. ‘What else is new?’
Jack just grinned up at his lover. ‘I bet you say that to all the boys.’
