Summary: The team have lost something vitally important. A double drabble.
‘We’re never going to find him,’ Owen declared, sweeping his torchlight pointlessly around the enormous space. He’d always known the archives were large, but he’d never appreciated just how large until he was set the task of finding one small object amongst its vast series of shelves and cabinets.
‘Just keep looking,’ Jack ordered, voice tense with frustration. ‘Ianto has a system down here.’
Owen snorted. ‘Fat lot of good that does us. Did he remember to file himself before getting hit by a shrink ray?’
‘He can hear you,’ the tiny voice chirped over their earpieces. ‘I just wasn’t paying attention to where I was at the time it happened. At this height, everything looks too huge to be able to tell.’
‘It's okay,’ Jack said. ‘We'll find you. We’re not going home until we do, and then we won’t give up until we’ve got you back to normal size.’
Owen groaned. ‘Great. We could be here for bloody weeks at this rate.’
‘I wouldn't stop looking for you,’ Ianto replied.
‘Yeah, but that’s because you’re a nice guy who cares about people that annoy him.’
‘And you’re not?’
‘Don’t try and butter me up, Teaboy. It won't work.’
