drabble_zoneSummary: Jack is left alone to deal with a mess. A double drabble.
Ianto could scarcely keep the smirk from his face as he loitered in the car park doorway, watching Jack struggle with the mess of orange goop that was forming large pools on the ground, oozing down the concrete pillars and literally dripping from the roof overhead. Ianto made sure not to step out from under the safety of the doorway. ‘I take it that you weren't able to inspire the troops to hang around and help you with the clean up?’ he asked, already knowing the answer.
Jack growled under his breath, forcing a wide broom through a large puddle, trying to cajole it into a smaller area so that he could scoop it into buckets. ‘What do you think?’ came the annoyed reply. ‘Y’know, once upon a time people used to do what their boss told them.’
‘They still do,’ he replied. ‘At least for me.’
Jack rolled his eyes, unhappy at being reminded there was someone even higher up than him these days.
‘And, to be fair, you were the only one who didn’t end up covered in exploded alien egg goo. It’s given them all a tingling, pins and needle type sensation.’
‘It still sucks,’ Jack sulked.
