'And where do you think you're going?' Jack asked as he lounged back in his chair, resting a boot up on his desk, watching Ianto pocket his wallet and keys.
'You told everyone to take the day off,' he replied.
'Yes I did,' Jack agreed. 'That still begs the question of where you're going when we have the entire hub to ourselves.' Jack planned on making the most of it.
'I'm going shopping.'
Jack arched an eyebrow. 'Shopping? You want to go shopping when you could be spending the day with me?'
'Yes, Jack. And for the record, I was hoping you'd come along.'
Jack let out a disgusted sound. 'I hate shopping. All those annoying shop assistants and that awful music and the tacky advertising and…' He gesticulated as if to indicate there was more but it was beneath him to describe it.
Ianto chewed his lip. 'Fine. Don't come. Don't spend the day with me. See if I care.' He began walking away. 'I was hoping you'd weigh in on some new shirt and tie combinations. Maybe even a new suit or two.'
Jack bolted from his chair, nearly falling over himself in the process. 'Wait for me!'
