Notes: Ianto was just following instructions. A double drabble.

'Wait here,' Jack said the moment Ianto pulled the SUV up to the kerb. He tugged off his seat belt with all the impatience of a man about to hurl himself into danger. 'We'll be right back.'

The two doors slammed as Jack and Owen ran inside the office block, guns raised.

Ianto left the engine idling as instructed until someone rapped their knuckles on his window. He rolled it down to find a policeman standing there.

'This is a no standing zone.'

'Quite right,' Ianto agreed, having said as much to Jack. 'Only I'm not standing in it. I'm sitting in the car and it's not even parked.'

The policeman folded his arms. 'Oh, think you're clever, do you?'

'Actually I'm with Torchwood on official business.' He pointed at the name emblazoned on the side of the door.

The officer sighed. 'Alright sunshine. Out of the car. I've had enough of you playing funny buggers. I'm arresting you for failure to comply with a police order.'

So much for being beyond the police, he thought, wincing at the tightness of the handcuffs. At least he'd kept his promise. The car would definitely still be here, even if he wasn't.
