Notes: Owen's work in weevil studies is slow going. A double drabble.

Ianto let out a vexed sigh as he came down to the cells to make a start on cleaning out the recently vacated space. Owen was down here as well but he figured his chances of getting their medic to help him were slim to none.

'Are you just going to stand there all day and stare at each other?' Ianto asked, finding Owen eye to eye with their resident weevil Janet.

'I'm working,' Owen grumbled.

'I've heard Jack use a similar excuse, only usually he has his feet up on the desk and comic book in his hands.'

'This is important research. Just because nobody else can be bothered trying to figure out how weevils tick doesn't mean it isn't worth doing.'

'Then I shall bow to your most important and vital research. Do let me know when you've figured out how to get them to clean their own cells.'

'It's not that kind of research,' Owen replied.

Ianto set down his bucket and mop with a heavy sigh. 'I feared as much. So what have you learned so far, then?'

Owen went back to peering into the cell, with Janet mirroring his motions, staring back. 'They don't blink.'
