Notes: Coffee is the solution to many a problem. A double drabble.

There was an old joke around that hub that said "keep calm and put someone on decaf". That was the polite way of telling Ianto he should calm down and not blow a gasket at whoever had attracted his ire. Not that he lost the plot often, but when he looked about ready to burst there was often a gentle hand on his shoulder and those words delivered in a level, non-aggressive tone. True punishment and denial of coffee was a far better result than just yelling at someone, even if yelling brought about instant gratification.

There were however times when the exact opposite could be said. How many potentially explosive altercations had he defused at just the right moment with cups of caffeinated perfection, capable of quelling even the most brutal tempers? Coffee was the universal language of peace. He was certain that conflict in the Middle East could be resolved with just the right blend of arrabica and a dash of milk. They all drank tea over there. Clearly that was the problem.

He deeply inhaled the aroma of his latest creation. Maybe it couldn't solve all the world's problems, but it wasn't a bad place to start
