Summary: Jack's latest ailment has some dire consequences. A double drabble.
Jack's hands flew to his mouth as he gasped in horror at what he'd done. He'd been trying to be so careful, staying as far from everyone as he could whilst they worked out a way to fix the mysterious affliction that had Jack turning everything he touched to solid gold. His whole office was a sheet of shimmering gold from his desk to the floor and everything else in between. Even bandaging his hands hadn't helped slow it very much; it just made everything he did that much more clumsy.
The last thing he expected when he went to the loos was to expect anything other than solitude and safety. Having timed his entrance perfectly with Ianto's exit was almost impossible, as was any chance of not bumping into him by accident. Jack hoped there hadn't been time enough for Ianto to realise what was happening before he'd become a perfect shining, golden statue. That would only make it worse, knowing what Jack was about to do to him.
Jack fell against him, wrapping his arms around Ianto now that he couldn't make things worse by touching him and sobbed. 'I promise I'll fix this.' He prayed he could.
