Summary: Ianto wants to take advantage of the weather conditions but Jack is less enthusiastic. A double drabble.
'No,' Jack said when he saw Ianto holding up a pair of ice skates in one hand and his faithful hockey stick in the other. He had a ridiculously hopeful look in his eyes that wasn't quashed by Jack's refusal.
'Oh, come on. Don't be such a stick in the mud,' Ianto implored. 'It's been freakishly cold all week but now we've got two miles of Cardiff Bay frozen solid and just begging to be skated on. Owen has already sorted out hockey teams and I need you.'
'You do realise that salt water isn't meant to freeze, right?'
'And aliens aren't meant to slip through a crack in space and time and land up here either, yet they do. I know you'll master ice-skating if you'd just give it more practice, and plus the amount of ice is so huge out there you won't even have to worry about little kids tripping you up. We'll have a whole half mile to ourselves.
Jack hated to spoil Ianto's enthusiasm. 'Can't I just watch?'
'Rhys is joining us. That makes it three on two unless you say yes.'
'Fine. But if I break a leg you're nursing me back to health.'
