Summary: Jack gets introduced to a new Torchwood addition. A double drabble.
Jack cast his gaze around the hub now that most of that team had gone home. For the most part it looked just the same, excepting one thing.
'What's with the armchair?' he asked.
Ianto swept past, clearing up their used pizza boxes. 'Something we picked up while you were gone.'
'Hmm. Would have gone with a leather recliner myself,' Jack mused.
'Careful,' Ianto warned him. 'It has a low level of sentience and won't take kindly to insults. It incarcerated Owen for a whole day before letting him go. All on account of it not being convinced he found it comfy. You might go so far as to say it's an object of affection.'
'Sentient chairs? That's a new one.' Torchwood would never stop surprising him, it seemed as he sat in it and tested it out. 'Ooh, it is comfy.'
'A nice place to curl up with a good book. Or a nap,' Ianto agreed.
'Or maybe something else?' Jack asked, reaching out to drag Ianto into his lap.
'Not as comfy sitting on you,' Ianto admitted.
'Maybe not,' Jack said, 'but you're the object of my affection, and I won't let you go until you're comfy either.'
