Summary: Not every event is rift related . A double drabble.
Tosh stopped what she was doing the moment she heard her water glass clinking against the metal workbench. For a second she thought she must have imagined it, but then she stared at it again and watched as the surface of the water moved in concentric circles.
'Tosh? Did you feel that?' Jack asked, stepping out of his office, looking confused.
'The vibration?' she asked. 'I thought perhaps I was going mad.'
'Nope, I definitely felt something.'
He looked like he was about to offer a few possible explanations when the hub didn't just vibrate, but it shook violently. Tosh gripped the edge of her desk whilst Jack wrapped an arm around the nearest pole, steadying himself as loose objects retitled off desks. The shaking lasted about twenty seconds before it came to a stop.
'Yep, not imaging it,' Jack confirmed. 'What are we looking at, Tosh? Alien space weaponry? Giant dinosaur falling through the rift onto the Plass?'
She tapped away at her computer, bringing up various rift analysis programs. 'Oh,' she said, sounding surprised.
Jack was already pulling on his coat and holstering his gun. 'What did you find?'
'It was an earth tremor.'
Jack groaned. 'Urgh. Boring.'
