Summary: Ianto and Tosh are caught up in an explosive incident. A double drabble.
Jack ran from his office at the sound of the explosion, a brief panic flooding his mind as he called out "Tosh! Ianto!", desperate to know they were okay.
'We're okay!' Tosh called back, flooding him with relief.
He jogged all the way to the kitchenette, where Ianto could be seen pulling Tosh back up to her feet. Neither looked to have a scratch on them, though the same couldn't be said for the kitchen splashback, now blackened and charred. 'What happened?'
'Microwave,' Tosh replied in one word. She rounded on Ianto. 'I told you we should have just splashed out eighty quid on a new one.'
'And then you said you'd attempt to fix it instead.'
'Well, I think we can all see how that panned out,' Jack replied, giving the smoking remains an experimental poke with a wooden chopstick leftover from last night's Chinese. The thing sparked and set light to the tip of it. Jack raised it to his lips and blew it out like a birthday candle. 'Sometimes Tosh, I think you're too smart. Let's leave small appliances alone from now on. Ianto, I think our budget can spare eighty quid. Humans aren't so easily replaced.'
