Summary: Torchwood have finally found a way to avoid sharing. A double drabble.
Jack was almost done with their morning team briefing when a thought struck him. 'Hey, weren't UNIT trying to borrow a whole bunch of our low level alien technology?'
He looked at each of his team in turn, all of whom had had their own various objections about this alien item or that. It was nice that they were so devoted to the work and what it meant, but even Jack knew occasionally he had to give a bit of quid pro quo. 'Anyone?'
'I think they changed their minds,' Owen finally said, smirking a little as he said it.
There was definitely more to this story but Owen was going to make Jack work for it. Not that he objected to them having a change of heart. 'You wanna elaborate, Owen?'
'Perhaps you should ask Ianto.'
Jack's gaze shifted across to the most quiet person in the room. 'What am I missing here?'
'They took issue with the paperwork, sir,' he replied. 'Apparently our usual inter-departmental requisition form completed in triplicate per artifact was considered too much of a pain to be bothered with.'
Jack chuckled. 'And everyone here always says there's no benefit to all that red tape.'
