Summary: Rhiannon is determined to get the gossip from her brother. A double drabble.
'You didn't come home last night,' Rhiannon said, leaning against the kitchen doorway and watching her brother with a judicious eye as he attempted to creep back into the house, still wearing yesterday's clothes.
'Well spotted,' he quipped, overly avoiding saying more to explain himself.
'This isn't a halfway house, you know,' she said, trying to be teasing. She honestly didn't mind him staying with them whilst he was finding his feet again. After everything he'd been through, he needed all the love and support he could get. From what she could tell, he was getting a bit more love than she thought.
'You're not my mother,' he said in a sulking tone, trying to squeeze past her toward the spare room where he could change clothes.
'So?' She wasn't letting him off that easily. 'Where were you?'
'We stayed at a hotel, if you must know.'
'Well, I didn't think you were sleeping in the car or anything.'
He failed to suppress a smirk. 'Clearly you don't know me very well then.'
'Well, maybe if you told me more about your life,' she argued. And more about this growing reconciliation with Jack, more importantly.
'I don't kiss and tell.'
