Summary: Things are dire and Jack isn't sure they can do anything to fix it. A double drabble.
Jack was used to coming back from death. He'd done it a thousand times, yet this time he was still reeling from the after-effects. Perhaps it was the combination of too many things happening all at once. There'd been the splintering of the rift, the betrayal of his team, and now this - Abbadon. It was all going wrong and disaster was piling up on calamity at a speed Jack couldn't keep up with, let alone fight against.
He stumbled out of the SUV, legs like jelly underneath him, but Ianto was there to steady him. Then Jack saw it for himself - the Destroyer of Worlds - unearthed from under the rift and come to destroy this one. He clung to Ianto to keep himself upright as his body readjusted back to life. Ianto clung to him as well, reassuring Jack they hadn't meant to betray him. They'd only meant to correct the mistakes they'd made in opening the rift in the first place. And they'd been manipulated by Bilis the entire time.
Now it was fear that kept them both latched together. They'd never seen anything like this before, and Jack didn't know if there was any way to stop Abbadon.
