Summary: Jack is convinced that not even a minor injury will stop him. A double drabble.
'Ow! Godamnit!' Jack swore loudly from behind the rest of the team as they'd all slowly navigated their way out of the pile of rubble left behind after the skirmish which had left their alien foes coming off second best.
'What's wrong?' Gwen asked, turning back to find Jack bringing up the rear rather awkwardly.
'It's fine. Just twisted an ankle back there,' he replied, stumbling a bit as he favoured his left leg.
'Are you sure?'
Jack grinned back at her. 'Yeah, never better. Not about to let some silly little sprain stop me.'
'Well, just watch that last pile,' Gwen warned him.
'Don't you worry about me, I'm-' There was an almighty crash and more cursing from Jack.
Gwen didn't wait for instruction to turn back and go to his aid, clambering back over the mess. She could already see he was wincing hard and clutching his arm. 'Jack! What happened?'
'My ankle gave way and I fell. Think I might have broken my wrist when it broke my fall. Argh!' His face scrunched up painfully as he touched it. 'Yep, definitely broken.'
Gwen groaned and stared down at her hopeless leader. 'So much for nothing stopping you.'
