drabble_zoneSummary: Tosh arrives looking uncharacteristically bedraggled. A double drabble.
Owen couldn't help but giggle as he watched Tosh enter the hub, bedraggled and soaked through. 'Did you decide to swim back to the hub?'
She scowled at him and he quickly took the signal to reach down into the cupboard and pull out a towel, tossing it at her.
'I wouldn't be like this except it was bucketing out there and the university doesn't have any shelter outside the main buildings. Naturally, I had to search half the grounds to lock onto the moving signal. Of course it was just experimental drone technology, not alien surveillance equipment like Jack was worried about. Probably a student project.'
'Still doesn't explain why you're drowned. There's a brolley in the back of the SUV.'
'Yes, well I did think of that,' she said, rubbing her damp hair, 'only the last person who used it destroyed it. I had so many holes and tears it was making me wetter under it than without it. I wonder who would have put it back like that?' she asked, narrowing her eyes at Jack.
'In my defence, it was all I had to hand when a weevil tried to jump me. Better the brolley than me.'
