Ianto dipped a rice cracker into the bowl, attempting to scrape out whatever spinach dip was left, working the cracker round and round the edges. There was a buzz in his ears as he focused on the task. He was certain that with enough scraping he could still manage enough for one more cracker, and there was no sense it going to waste.
'Ianto, are you even listening to me?' came an irritated voice.
He looked up, his cracker held aloft. 'Huh?'
'I knew you weren't listening,' his sister complained.
Well, he thought, at least his strategy had partly worked.
