Summary: Jack decides to exact his own brand of justice. A double drabble.
Jack waited until he could hear footsteps padding down the hall. He’d been there in the darkness for hours, waiting for the occupant to inevitably need the loo. Just as the half-asleep man passed him, he lunged, pressing him hard up against the wall, his forearm locked tightly under the man’s windpipe as he gasped in terrified alarm.
‘Remember me?’ Jack growled. Or have you been too busy enjoying the proceeds of your work? He pressed a little tighter against the defence attorney's neck. ‘No? Don’t remember?’ Jack said, toying with his strangled attempts to respond. ‘Let’s just say I wasn't too pleased to hear that one of your little cannibal clients got off on a suspended sentence. They deserve to rot in hell for what they did.’ He dug his fingers into the man’s cheek, clawing at it. ‘They'd have had you, too, if you’d been there,’ he threatened. ‘I wonder what filthy little lawyers like you taste like?’
The man struggled uselessly but Jack had all the leverage until he finally let go, the man collapsing breathlessly to the floor.
‘If anything happens to my team because of you, know that I will come back and kill you.’
