torchwood100Summary: Jack only wants to lend a hand. A double drabble.
‘Don’t,’ Tosh said in a firm voice, throwing a pattern look in Jack’s direction as she said it.
‘I can help,’ Jack insisted, looking otherwise bored as he spun around listlessly in the chair that Ianto usually occupied.
‘I wanted a spare hand working through all of this code days ago,’ Tosh replied.
‘And now I have one,’ Jack said, indicating the right hand that had been attached to his wrist yesterday, but which was now operating on its own accord , completely detached from the disturbing stump of his arm. Owen was still working on the piece of technology that had severed it in the first instance, trying to figure out how to reattach it. Owen had Jack on strict orders to stay at the hub and not muck around with anything else, but now he was bored out of his mind.
‘I love you,’ Tosh said, but that is just creepy. ‘Please keep it away from me,’ she added, giving it a wary glance as it attempted to walk towards her desk on steepled fingertips.
‘You don't appreciate where this hand is capable of going.’
‘Exactly,’ Ianto interjected, passing by. ‘Who knows where it’s been.’
‘Waste not, want not.’
