Summary: Tyrion knows what happens to traitors. A double drabble.
Tyrion tried not to look surprised as Varys was marched past him through the corridors, flanked on either side by two Unsullied. At least they hadn’t manhandled him, Tyrion supposed, and that was something. A man like Varys had to be handled delicately. He wasn’t one for being humiliated, and even now, he still carried about him a regal air, even though he’d never been royalty.
So Danerys had discovered what Varys had been doing, though Tryion was surprised that he himself hadn’t been collared in the same way. Perhaps Varys had done more than just pose the possibility of Jon Snow being the more rightful heir to the throne than their Queen. A lifetime of playing dangerous games had finally brought the Spider undone.
By the time they reached the beach, there was quite a party following them, including the Queen herself. From a short distance, Tyrion heard Drogon screech and wheel through the air, landing just behind the Queen as she faced her traitorous counsel. Varys stood silently and met her gaze.
For the sake of all the gods, kneel and beg forgiveness for your foolishness, Tryion prayed. Humility had to be better than death by dragon’s fire.
