Title: An eye for detail
Character: Ianto, Jack
Author: m_findlow
Author: m_findlow
Rating: PG
Length: 200 words
Summary: Jack knew he'd picked the right man for the job. A double drabble.
Jack smiled at the picture of the wedding dress Ianto had chosen. It wasn’t even the most expensive in the catalogue, which shouldn’t have mattered since Jack was the one paying for it. If it had to be the most outrageously priced frock in all of Cardiff, he’d have gladly suffered the credit card bill that went with it. He was not going to ruin Gwen’s big day – even if it seemed like he already had.
‘Nope, I like that one,’ he told Ianto, poking the glossy catalogue for emphasis. He knew he could count on Ianto’s excellent taste to find something just perfect, not to mention accommodating Gwen's recent “growth spurt”. Classy and elegant without an overdone sense of diamante jewels or frumpy layers of lace.
He liked it even better when Ianto began mildly boasting about getting the size just right, hearkening back to that “family eye” he was so proud of. Ianto was welcome to size up Jack by his stride across the hub any time he liked, and he told Ianto as much, earning a naughty little smile. He didn’t doubt Ianto already had his particulars noted down, but it never hurt to double check them.
