Summary: Owen doesn't have to understand it, but he does have to accept it. A double drabble.

‘It's not like that; me and Jack.’

Owen nodded before adding the snide remark. ‘Yeah, you and Jack.’

It was hard not to want to punch Owen in that moment and knowing he couldn't’ because Owen was dead, probably wouldn’t feel it, and that politically, it was a pretty crappy thing to do to a dead guy. Still, it didn't make his comment rankle any less.

He loved Jack, and for all his joking around and obfuscation, he was certain Jack loved him back – at least in his own Jack Harkness kind of way. He hadn’t chosen this – hadn’t planned for it to happen – it just had. He saw something in Jack that everyone else seemed oblivious to, and Jack, for whatever reason, had seen something in him. They just… fitted together, and not in the physical way he’d jokingly implied when Martha had pressed him on it.

He wasn't attracted to guys. He’d tested himself on multiple occasions when out and about, just to see if he found any men good looking or sexually attractive. He hadn’t, but he still found himself occasionally rating the ladies. He wasn't gay, he was… somewhere in the middle. It was just Jack.
