Length: 200 words
Summary: The team have seen a side of Jack that's hard to forget. A double drabble.
Jack set the cup of tea on the desk in front of Tosh. It took her a moment to register it, lost in some deep thought as she stared through the computer screen.
‘How are you doing?’ Jack asked, leaning a hip against the desk. It had been a few days since their trip to the Brecon Beacons, but he could tell that there were still wounds that would take a while to heal.
Tosh reached for the mug, clasping it with both hands. ‘It's hard to shake, you know?’ she began, slowly sipping the tea. ‘That humans could do that to one another. I wake up in the night, convinced I can still hear them sharpening those knives.’ She set the mug back down. ‘But you know what bothers me more?’
Jack shook his head.
‘It was the look on your face when you found us; the way you shot at them, like they were nothing but animals.’
Jack swallowed hard. His team hadn't even seen the worst of what he’d done that night; the violence that he’d inflicted. He’d revelled in it, the old Jack Harkness returning. The Jack that would do anything for answers, anything for revenge.
