Title: Better nature
Character: Jack
Author: m_findlow
Author: m_findlow
Rating: PG
Length: 200 words
Summary: Jack is going against his better nature for the sake of the truth. A double drabble.
Jack didn’t like having traitors in his midst. He liked it even less when he’d vouched for those traitors and given them his trust and his friendship, only to have it all thrown back in his face, hiding that treachery right under his nose. Adding a charge of trying to end the world on top of it was more than he could take.
The webley only shook ever so slightly in his hand as he positioned it at the back of Ianto’s head. No amount of Gwen's please was going to change his mind. Ianto had hidden a cyberman – one of the most dangerous creatures in the universe, and the very thing that had brought down Torchwood One – right in their basement, and was claiming that it was harmless. It was anything but. He didn’t care if it had been Ianto's ex-girlfriend. Death was the only acceptable punishment for that level of treachery.
That he hadn’t pulled the trigger yet bothered him. He was doing all he could to resist the urge. Ianto was the last person he expected to double cross him and he intended to get the full truth of it before he finally condemned Ianto to death.
