Challenge 773 - Quite the catch
Title: Quite the catch
‘He’s quite a find, Ianto,’ Rhiannon said, unable to keep the grin off her face as he passed him yet another soapy plate to dry after a reasonably successful first dinner together. ‘Who knew someone like you could pull something like that.’
‘Shush!’ he hissed, cheeks flushing pink at her words. ‘Jack can probably hear you,’ he chastised, half wondering if Jack was lingering by the door, eavesdropping on their conversation. He wouldn’t put it past Jack to want to know what people thought about him.
‘Jack!’ Rhiannon called out. ‘Ianto’s worried that I think you're a real catch! Totally out of his league.’ Ianto slapped her with the damp tea towel, wishing he had something harder to hit her with.
Jack’s head popped around the edge of the kitchen doorway. ‘That’s because I am a real catch,’ he said, grinning like the cat who’d gotten the cream and giving Ianto a wink. ‘He’s not so bad either, you know. I’ve been around a while. Someone like your brother is harder to find than you’d think.’
Rhiannon gave a shrug. ‘He’s alright, I suppose.’
Jack’s arms snaked around him, pulling him back tight against his body. ‘He’s more than alright.’
