Summary: Owen doesn't need the team to help him investigate. A double drabble.
‘Bloody phone book,’ Owen slurred, wishing he had someone to share his victory. It might have helped if they’d also been here to share his bottle of scotch so that he hadn’t drunk it all by himself, resulting in his far more drunken state. God, he needed to sober up, he thought, swaying unsteadily on his feet towards the coffee machine and flicking it on. It burbled away, slowly heating.
Don’t need Tosh and all her fancy computers, and don’t need Ianto and his fancy coffee, Owen thought, feeling pleased even as he clipped the sofa, its hard corner stabbing painfully into his calf. Didn’t need Jack either, telling him what to do. Nope, he’d found Ed Morgan all by himself using the lowest tech there was – an out of date print of the Cardiff and Vale telephone book. Of course it had taken a few false starts and a lot of phone calls to wrong numbers. Why did there have to be so many bloody Morgan’s living in this stupid country?
He fell back on the sofa and closed his eyes, coffee already forgotten. Tomorrow he’d go pay Ed Morgan a visit and scare the shit out of him.
