Rating: PG
Length: 200 words
Summary: Jack has come down with something unpleasant. A double drabble.
‘I'm fine,’ Jack said, trying to shrug off Owen. Usually he enjoyed being the centre of attention, but not so much today.
‘You're not bloody fine,’ Owen snapped, wrapping his stethoscope back around his neck and nearly strangling himself in the process. ‘You're shaking like a leaf and you've got a high fever.’
‘It's probably just a little cold,’ Jack replied, even as he saw Ianto approaching him with a second blanket, trying to wrap it around his body.
‘If it was, we'd all be sick,’ Ianto replied, ‘and the rest of the team haven't shared their tongue with you,’ he added, rubbing up and down Jack's sides, trying to get him to stop shivering. He'd stopped noticing the way his body trembled effortlessly until he felt the way Ianto's hand vibrated against his body.
‘I'm still going to want a blood test for you too,’ Owen said, giving Ianto the eye. ‘Jack's physiology is one thing, but analysing a real twenty-first century human is a lot easier.’
‘I know,’ he said with a resigned sigh. ‘If anyone's next it's me. And if it makes Jack this sick and shaky, then I'm likely to start setting off the Richter scale.’
