Title: A little help
Character: Jack, Ianto
Author: m_findlow
Author: m_findlow
Rating: PG
Length: 200 words
Summary: All Ianto wanted was a little bit of help. A double drabble.
When Ianto called Jack over his comms and asked if Jack might pop down and give him a hand, Jack didn't rush. He knew Ianto was up to his neck in old archive boxes and had either tired of lugging them around, or wanted someone to tell him what the hell was in them all so that he could catalogue it better. Neither task sounded like something Jack wanted to do, knowing that once he was down there, it would no doubt be hours before Ianto would release Jack from his clutches. In the end he went only because he knew Ianto would be mad if he didn't show up at all. An irate Welshman was not something Jack wanted.
‘You took your bloody time!’ Ianto barked when Jack finally arrived.
Jack ignored the outburst, more concerned by how he found Ianto, lying flat on the floor like he was readying for a nap. ‘What are you doing down there?’ He doubted Ianto was about to ask to ravish him.
‘I've put my back out hauling all these boxes. This was the only position I could find that didn't hurt. I assumed you were on your way to help me!’
