Author: m_findlow
Rating: PG
Length: 200 words
Summary: Jack has given the team an unusual assignment. A double drabble.
‘He’s lost his sodding mind,’ Owen complained, looking to Gwen and Tosh to loudly agree with him.
Tosh paused the movement of her scissors only long enough to respond to Owen. ‘What’s wrong with it? I think it’s sweet that he cares that much. And it’s a lot more meaningful than just buying some trashy card from the newsagent.’
‘I don’t do “crafty”, Tosh,’ Owen moped, lost in a sea of coloured paper and tubes of glitter in front of them on the boardroom table.
‘Oh, lighten up, Owen,’ Gwen chastised. ‘It’s nobody’s fault that Ianto got hurt, but it is nice if we all make a card to let him know how much he’s missed.’
‘We miss his bloody coffee, that’s all,’ Owen said, trying to downplay his care factor.
‘Poor Jack doesn't know what to do with himself without Ianto around,’ Gwen said, drawing big heart shapes all over the paper in glue, and then adding red glitter on top. ‘He’s still blaming himself.’
‘Which is even more stupid,’ Owen said. ‘I just don’t see why he had to make it an order we do this.’
‘Because I’m the boss,’ Jack barked, ‘and we’re making get well cards!’
