Summary: All Gwen wants to know is how they'll get home. A double drabble.
'Well, this is another fine mess,' Ianto remarked, exchanging glances with his two equally drenched and bedraggled teammates as they bobbed about in their life raft.
'Guessing this is going to be one of those times when Torchwood declares defeat, and lets sleeping kraken lie,' Jack said.
'And how are we supposed to get home?' Gwen asked. 'We've got to be twenty miles from shore.'
'We paddle, of course.'
'Except that we lost our emergency paddle,' Ianto said.
'Well, that was a bit thoughtless,' Jack said.
'I used it to fend off the tentacle that was trying to drag you down to the bottom of the ocean. A paddle was a small price to pay. We're lucky it didn't try to drag all of us down with it.'
'Suppose we should be grateful it's content just to have our ship to cuddle at night. Don't think we'll be seeing the Sea Queen again anytime soon.'
'And I'd just finished completely rewaxing the hull,' Ianto moped.
'Can we please focus on getting home?' Gwen begged.
'Sure,' Jack replied. 'You and Ianto hang over the sides and paddle, I'll navigate.'
'Careful, Captain," Ianto warned, 'or you'll have a mutiny on your hands.'
