torchwood100Summary: Tosh never fully considered what it meant to do as she was told. A double drabble.
Prison. Tosh was in prison, she finally realised, standing there in the tiny cell with absolutely nothing. It wasn’t anything like how she imagined it might be. There’d been no police, no courtroom with a judge, no lawyers with their mountains of paper in big folders, doing their best to plead her case. She was just here, and was likely to be here for a very, very long time.
She hadn’t really considered what it would mean if she got caught. She was smart enough to know there’d be consequences, but she believed she’d been given no choice. There would be some smart person who would see that she’d been held hostage with no option but to comply or risk them killing her mother.
What she’d been doing wasn’t even that bad, at least in her mind. She was just using plans that had been shelved to see if she could build what they proposed. Yes, it was a weapon of a kind, but it wouldn't kill people. Doing what she’d done would be saving someone. That had to make it worth doing.
Now though, she had to face up to the costs she hadn’t ever considered. Life behind bars.
