Summary: Even Tosh can be pushed past her limit. A double drabble.
Tosh didn't like to be angry at her boss. He was mostly a great guy with good intentions and a big heart. He’d also throw himself in front of any one of them to keep them safe if it came down to it, sacrificing his own life in the process.
Sometimes though – sometimes! – he could be a real pain in the arse jerk. Today just happened to be one of those days.
‘Croatian,’ she muttered again, feeling her anger return with each repeat of the word as she forced her arms into her jacket sleeves and reached for her handbag. Four in the sodding morning he’d called her, insisting she come in!
Ianto caught her flustered attempts to pack up and leave. ‘Going somewhere?’
‘Thought I’d visit Owen. see how he’s doing.’ Mostly just because he’d agree with her that Jack had been an arsehole.
‘You know he’s going to be worse than usual, don’t you? Being dead is not going down so well.’
‘It’ll still be better than here!’ she retorted. Pizzas, beers and bitching about the boss. ‘Croatian,’ she grumbled.
‘Ah, yes, I think I heard Jack say something about that. I’m sure he meant well.’
‘Bye, Ianto.’
