Summary: Torchwood needs more than music to get the job done. A double drabble.
‘Turn up the radio, Jack. I can't hear it properly.’ He growled. ‘This is what I get for you thrashing the SUV when I'm not watching.’
‘Hey, that hole in the exhaust could've happened to anyone.’
‘And now it's making an absolute bloody racket and I can't get the car into the repair shop for another few days yet.’
‘So, it's a little bit noisy. Still goes.’
‘Still need you to turn up the radio.’
Jack groaned. ‘Why? It's only Radio Wales.’
‘It's coming up to the news.’
Jack groaned again. ‘Urgh, even better.’
‘Just do what I tell you!’ Ianto snapped.
‘Fine.’ He cranked it up loud, a lilting Swansea accent running though the weather and travel just before the top of the hour.
‘Jack,’ Gwen said, her voice in his earpiece. ‘We've got a rogue blowfish in Llanrumney.’
‘We're on our way,’ Jack reported, before grabbing the side door handle. ‘Hey! You're going the wrong way!’ he yelled as Ianto accelerated right into North Road.
‘No, I'm going the right way,’ he replied. ‘Thanks to the traffic update we'd have been stuck in three hours of gridlock on the A48 otherwise. That's why we listen to Radio Wales!’
