torchwood100Summary: Gwen and Ianto have a bit of a problem. A double drabble.
‘Jack’s going to be pissed,’ Gwen said, frowning at the sight before them as they stood on the invisible lift just a few feet below the surface of the Plass, but still far above the main level of the hub.
‘It’s sort of pretty,’ Ianto replied. ‘If you don't mind having the hub look like an over the top Chelsea Garden Show entry,’ he said, pulling his handkerchief from his pocket to blow his nose before the excessive amounts of pollen made him sneeze, knocking them both off the platform.
‘We were only gone a few hours,’ Gwen said. ‘It was just one little plant,’ she added, referring to the thing they'd picked up this morning when the five am rift alert had come through. ‘How could it have spread this far that quickly?’
‘Must be the pollen,’ he replied, blowing his nose again. ‘I don’t get hayfever but even this is making my eyes water.’
‘How long until Jack gets back?’
Ianto consulted his watch. ‘Factoring in Danish local time, ten am tomorrow.’
‘Chances we can fix this before then?’
He sneezed and she grabbed him before they both fell off. ‘Not good. I just hope Jack likes daisies.’
