torchwood100Summary: Being an anxious parent-to-be is tiring work. A double drabble.
Ianto waddled up the stairs with the basket of laundry. Honestly, going up stairs used to be way easier before he had a belly the size of a prize-winning watermelon! Navigating it and the basket was an exercise in dignity.
He gratefully dropped the basket on the bed and began moving the folded items from it to their respective homes in the wardrobe and chest of drawers. As he moved from one side of the room to the other, he passed by the window, spotting the large black SUV still parked in the driveway. Jack was starting to make a habit of turning up around lunchtime, on the auspices of food, but mostly to check Ianto was okay. Like being pregnant was a deadly disease.
He finished putting the laundry away and shuffled back downstairs. ‘Jack, I thought you were supposed to be heading back to the hub by n–’ He stopped, spotting Jack on the sofa, head lolled back and mouth wide open as a snore exited it.
Ianto shook his head. Here was Jack fussing over him taking it easy when clearly he was the one burning the candle at both ends. Turns out they both needed rest.
