Summary: Ianto has some unconventional ideas on where to find a bit of peace and quiet. A double drabble.
‘Have you seen Ianto?’ Gwen asked, a frown of consternation on her face as he hovered in Jack’s doorway. ‘I’ve looked everywhere.’
He gave her a knowing smirk. ‘Are you sure?’
‘Well, not everywhere,’ she admitted. To search the whole of the hub would take hours and would be virtually impossible for one person alone to do. ‘All the obvious places,’ she replied.
‘Are you sure?’ Jack repeated.
She sighed. ‘Could you please just stop with the all seeing, all knowing, enigmatic rubbish?’
‘He’s in the boardroom.’
It was Gwen’s turn to smirk. ‘Yeah, try again. I looked there.’
‘Well, that’s where he is.’
‘Jack, I think I'd know if he was there.’
‘Did you look under the table?’
‘Did I–’ She stopped. ‘Why on Earth would Ianto be under the table?’
‘He’s taking a nap. Late night weevil pursuit. He thinks I don’t know, but come on, seriously? There’s not much around here I don’t know about. Roll out camp mattress, pillow, blanket… He never does anything by halves.’
Gwen frowned again. ‘But why there? We’ve got rooms downstairs, the sofa, his flat…’
Jack grinned. ‘The universe is full of mysteries, Gwen Cooper. Just add it to the list.’
