Summary: Rhys isn't keen on letting anyone else be in charge of his lorries. A double drabble.
‘Forwards a bit!’ Rhys yelled, keeping an eye on the massive lorry. He would have preferred to be in the driver’s seat, given that the lorry was a Hardwoods lorry and that any bingle would be coming off his bottom line, but Jack was adamant that if there was alien stuff on board, he was going to be in charge, whether Rhys liked it or not.
‘Back a bit!’ Rhys yelled again, making gestures with his hands to encourage the lorry backwards, like it was a dog following its master’s commands. ‘Forwards a bit! Left a bit! No, your other left!’ Rhys jumped backwards a few paces himself before he became squashed underneath its forty tonne chassis. ‘Forwards a bit!’ he yelled again.
‘How much forwards?’ came Jack’s voice, leaning so far out the window he looked about to somersault all the way out.
‘I’ll bloody tell you when!’
He caught the eye roll from Jack as he dropped back into the cabin and carried on manoeuvring the vehicle, before giving the brakes one final gaseous squeal, bringing the whole thing to a halt. Jack jumped out. ‘How’s that for perfect?’
‘Where the bloody hell did you learn to park?’
