Summary: Ianto thought he'd nailed being invisible. A triple drabble.

Ianto inspected himself in the mirror – or would have done if there was anything to see. He waved at himself, did an uncomfortable star jump and even stuck his tongue out, but the only thing he saw was the reflection of the bathroom’s back wall.

Well, this wasn’t how he’d imagined his date going when he’d gotten out of bed this morning. He should have known that there was no way he and Jack could simply have a nice pleasant day at the zoo admiring the animals and eating ice cream. Torchwood simply couldn’t leave them alone for even a single day.

He winced as he touched the side of his ribs. He was fairly certain they were black and bruised, or might‘ve been if he had flesh to inspect. There might have been a small crack in one of them as well, but it was impossible to tell. It hurt, but there wasn’t much Owen could do but prod the area and use his touch to diagnose any injuries. Still, Ianto supposed it was better than nothing. He was still physically present, even if no one could see him. They could at least feel he was there, though he was quickly getting tired of sidestepping them in order to avoid being trodden on or bumped into. Honestly, he was standing in one spot whilst he spoke. Couldn’t they remember he was there for just a few seconds before trying to trample through the small space he occupied? He thought he’d be accustomed to being invisible, having efficiently managed to go unnoticed around the hub for years. It turned out being invisible for real wasn’t the same thing.

Jack’s head poked in, frowned and then muttered “Damn.”

‘What?’

‘Oh. You’re here.’ Jack sounded surprised. ‘I thought I'd missed you.’

Sigh.
