‘Yes, but couldn't you have just put me in a moonboot? At least then I'd be able to shower properly and move around.’
‘You busted your ankle,’ Owen repeated. ‘As in broken bones. You’ll get around just fine with those.’
‘Sorry, but have you ever worked at the hub? It’s not exactly ambulant friendly. I’ll have a job just getting up these bloody stairs without anything else to hang on to.’
‘You can hang onto me,’ Jack said, appearing over the top railing. Then he frowned as well. ‘A plaster cast and crutches?’
‘Congratulations on earning your boy scout badge for being observant,’ Owen replied, scrawling something on a chart that was undoubtedly about to go in Ianto’s medical file, documenting yet another injury in the line of duty. ‘What skill are you going to impress us with next? Perhaps leadership?’
‘But how is he supposed to make coffee with crutches? Couldn't you have just put him in a moonboot?’
Owen groaned. ‘Six years of medical school and training! Why is everyone around here such a bloody critic thinking they know better how to treat patients? I’m the doctor, remember?’
‘Is he?’ Jack teased.
‘I think that was the whole white coat thing,’ Ianto replied.
‘Don’t remember it saying doctor on it,’ Jack said.
‘Well it should!’ Owen retorted. Along with “Do what I say, or else!”

Ianto frowned down at the plaster cast on his leg and then looked up, scowling at Owen. ‘Did you have to put it in plaster?’
Owen rolled his eyes and tugged off his gloves and white coat, tossing the latter over the railing. ‘You busted your ankle. What did you want me to do? Here,’ Owen said, thrusting a pair of metal crutches at him. ‘You'll need these as well to get around.’
