Summary: Jack likes to embellish wherever possible. A double drabble.
‘And we were running!’ Jack’s grin spread about as wide as it would go as he paused to sip from his bottle of sparkling water.
Gwen took a pull from her own beer, unable to remember how many she’d had anymore. ‘I never know when to believe you, Jack Harkness.’
‘It’s all true, I swear,’ he said, making a gesture of crossing his hand over his heart.
‘Except for the part about being naked,’ Ianto replied, also sounding more than a little tipsy. ‘You’ve told this one before and last time you didn’t mention anything about being naked. I’d have remembered.’
‘So I forgot!’ Jack laughed. ‘We were so very, very naked. And running! Seriously, you shoulda seen us!’
‘We’ve seen plenty of that, thank you very much,’ Gwen replied, tipping back the last of her beer. ‘You’re full of tall tales. Isn’t any part of your life boring and ordinary?’
‘I don’t like ordinary and boring,’ Jack said.
‘That’s easy for you to say, Gwen said. Someone else does all your boring cleaning and laundry.’
‘I resent being called boring,’ Ianto slurred.
‘Ianto is never boring,’ Jack assured her. ‘The tales I could tell you would make you blush.’
