Summary: Jack has been the unfortunate recipient of some unsavoury teeth. A double drabble.
'We should be worried, right?' Ianto asked, frowning disconcertingly at Jack as he lay back in the hospital bed, strapped down like some asylum patient. He wasn't thrashing anymore thanks to the sedation Owen had given him, but it was hard to picture him as sleeping peacefully when the side of his mouth was foaming spittle in large enough quantities that the shoulder of his gown was forming a wet patch. He wanted to reach out with a towel to wipe it away but the last time he'd done that Jack had broken through the sedation and nearly bitten his hand off. It had given him enough of a fright to put him off attempting it again.
'He'll be fine,' Owen replied. 'We have anti-venoms for that Crupee bite, but they take a while to work. He'll be good as new in a few days.'
'Alien rabies,' Ianto mused. 'Who knew?' It turned out that the universe wasn't as different as earth after all.
'Yep.' Owen stripped off his gloves. 'I just wish he'd told us about being bitten before he became a rabid, snarling idiot needing to be restrained and put on enough sedatives to knock out an elephant.'
