Summary: Ianto isn't swayed by Jack's ulterior motives. A double drabble.
‘Ooh, can we go through the carwash?’ Jack asked as he saw the giant automated building roll into view as they drove back towards the hub.
‘The car isn’t that dirty,’ Ianto replied, neither slowing nor making any move to change lanes. The sooner they got back to the hub, the sooner there’d be time for coffee.
‘Yes, but just think of all the time you’ll save by not having to wash it yourself,’ Jack replied, determined not to let the suggestion slide just yet.
Ianto read him like a book, calling him out. ‘I think you’re more concerned with what we do whilst we’re waiting for the car to travel from one end of the carwash to the other. One of these days we’re going to get caught, you know, and then we’ll be banned from ever using the carwash at all and I’ll have to clean the car by hand all the time.’
Jack pouted. ‘Tut. How can anyone see what we’re doing when the car is covered in soap suds and those big swivelling washer brushes?’
‘You’d be amazed at what those CCTV cameras pick up.’
Jack frowned. ‘And how would you know? Have you been watching?’
