‘Chip packet… beer bottle cap… chewing gum…’ Owen paused, plucking out something with his tweezers, holding it up for inspection. ‘What do you suppose that is?’
‘Fragment of used prophylactic,’ Ianto replied, frowning at it in disgust.
‘Gross,’ Owen said, thrusting it in the stainless steel emission bowl. ‘I’ve had to clean a lot of wounds in my time, but dealing with Jack’s disembowelment is more like a trip to the rubbish tip. Keep that rib spreader open,’ he added. ‘Don’t want him healing up before we’re done.’
Ianto winced, trying not to look. ‘Thank god he’s sedated for this.’
