torchwood100Summary: Jack failed to set ground rules for Ianto's spring cleaning. A double drabble.
‘They're going in the bin,’ Ianto declared.
‘What? No!’ Jack cried, pawing at his lover and trying to wrest the shoes from his clutches.
‘You asked me to tidy your wardrobe,’ Ianto said, continuing their tug of war.
‘Yes! Tidy it, not turf perfectly good clothes! These are classics!’
‘Classically awful,’ Ianto said, frowning and reconsidering hanging on to the seven inch platform heels in the most garish shade of maroon. ‘It should be a crime to own things like this.’
Jack finally managed to win the tug of war, though Ianto had in fact given them up. ‘It was the seventies and these were the height of fashion. Do you know how many men and women I pulled wearing these babies?’
‘I shudder to think,’ can the dry reply. ‘Was that before or after the psychedelics had taken hold?’
Jack frowned disparagingly at him. ‘Now you’re confusing your decades. That was the sixties.’
‘How silly of me. The verdict still stands though. Those have got to go. Donate them to charity. Or perhaps a costume store would be better.’
‘One day you’re going to look back and regret your fashion choices,’ Jack pouted.
‘Never,’ Ianto said. ‘Suits are forever.’
‘They're going in the bin,’ Ianto declared.
